ToyotaFest 2017

22nd Annual All ToyotaFest 2017

May 6, 2017

Event brought to you by TORC (Toyota Owners and Restorers Club).

Held at Marina Green Park in Long Beach instead of the Queen Mary, the park has ample parking space and is more easily accessible to the open public. It is still near the Queen Mary, however, it has ample parking in the surrounding lots and easily found because it is right off the main streets. Since this event was free for spectators, it made much sense to host it at such an open location as well. Our only gripe was that it seemed to have very uneven grounds, meaning we found many holes in the ground, which makes it harder for people to walk on.

ToyotaFest has always been known as the best and toyota-only themed event. This year shows that the dedication people have in building Toyotas has yet to change. It seems as though it has only become stronger, with more heavily modified street-able machines.

Although it was a seemingly gloomy day, with nicely hidden sun-burning overcast, the event seemed a hit. There were lots of cars showing, and a very good amount of spectators arrived and went as well. There was always a constant stream of attendance. The cars, they just keep getting better and better. Each year, some of these guys bring out their garage queens that are only taken out on occasion but build throughout the years. It’s very special to be there, to see them in person.
