Formula Drift Long Beach

FormulaD started on U.S. grounds in 2004, 12 annual drift competitions later, now we are on the 13th and it’s getting crazier. The change in builds, the change in driver roster, the changes in rules, everything to progress the sport as well as highlight the drivers’ skills.

Held on the streets of Long Beach, the layout is quite the same year-after-year. The major component that changes every single time, however, is uncontrollable. The weather is very unforgiving, and it can change drastically at any given time.

Long Beach is an awesome first event because the long anticipated wait from all the social feeds of the off-season finally gets shown and demonstrations of the buids are live and many-times finalized. There are always those who miss the deadlines of their build for the event, and some even get disqualified due to not meeting build requirements. Long Beach is where you get to first see and hear these monstrous vehicles getting pushed to their limits.
